U-Pick Blueberries

About Our Blueberries

Our blueberries were planted during World War II, and they’re still going strong.  The woman who planted them chose heirloom varieties that ripen in succession, making for a long and delicious blueberry season.  Concords and Jerseys were planted in large quantities, along with Dixie, Stanley, and Weymouth sprinkled in for good measure. You’ll notice that much of the original bushes are now taller than anyone could ever pick.  These make the infamous berry tunnels. They also serve a very important purpose. These prolific bushes feed all the birds who thrive in the wooded area on the hillside and beyond. We are happy to provide this treat for our feathered friends, while still leaving plenty for us to pick.
